Andre Canto has a BA Degree in Fine Arts, specialising in jewellery design from Stellenbosch University and a Masters Degree, which he completed in Germany. He was the first overall winner of the NDTC Shining Light Awards 2008-2009 with his beautiful back and neckpiece called “Diamond Tattoo”. As part of the celebration of 100 years of diamonds in Namibia, Namibia Post issued a stamp with an Ekipa-Diamond pendant, created by Andre Canto.
