Lead: Security for De Beers Group of Companies, Namibia
John Henrick Bock currently works for the De Beers Group of Companies in Namibia in the capacity as Security Lead. He joined the then CDM (Consolidated Diamond Mines) in March 1980 in Oranjemund.He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Security Risk Management from UNISA and an EDP from Stellenbosch University. He worked in various departments of the CDM Security Department. In 1996 he was assigned to the then CSO (now NDTC) in Windhoek as Head of the CSO Security Unit until 1998 when he was transferred back to the mine at Oranjemund. The mine was renamed to NAMDEB in 1994. In 2000 he was appointed to De Beers Canada at the Victor Mine to implement the security systems and establish the security unit.
