Acting Diamond Commissioner for the Republic of Namibia
Miina Auene Gahutu is the current Deputy Director/Acting Director: Directorate of Diamond Affairs at the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
She studied a Bachelors Degree in Economics at the University of Namibia and then gained in 2004 an MSC in Environmental and Development Economics from the University of Oslo, Norway. In March 2008 she completed a short course at the International Institute of Mining and Technology, Kosaka, Japan in Geological Mapping and Mineral Information Management and in October 2011 attended the Western Australia, School of Mines, Curtin University and gained qualification in Mineral Resources, Regulation and Management.
